Telehealth

Telehealth is a fantastic option for those that find it hard to attend face to face sessions due to a busy lifestyle, disability or living in a regional or remote area.

Medicare rebates are currently available for all Telehealth appointments in Australia due to COVID and the new legislation.

Rebates are also available via private health insurance, depending on your provider and level of cover.

Efficacy of Telehealth:

Research spanning over ten years provides evidence that online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy. This has given Linn confidence in being able to provide the same high quality service online.

In Nature

Due to the serene location in Sydney and Perth, we wanted to include the option to combine time in nature and evidence-based psychological interventions.

The session is a confidential psychology session whilst walking (at your pace) or sitting down somewhere beautiful outside together.

Medicare rebates are available for these appointments.

Telehealth

If you haven’t tried Telehealth before, you might worry you won’t feel as connected compared to having a session face to face. We have been using Telehealth for some time now and don’t find this to be the case at all; our clients have reported this too. 

Benefits of Telehealth:

  • Less traffic and parking stress

  • Flexibility in session time 

  • It saves you petrol and parking money

  • More time for yourself since time isn’t taken commuting

  • You can sit in the comfort of your own home, car, or garden 

  • Less time taken off work to travel to sessions 

  • You aren’t limited to your specific location

  • Some people find this less intimidating

All you need is: 

·       Reliable internet connection

·       A quiet space where you won’t be interrupted

· Computer/laptop, tablet or phone

In Nature

If you haven’t tried a psychology session outdoors before, you might have a few worries, such as:

What if I run into someone I know? Most clients simply wave and continue talking; however, at your first session, we will run through what you would like to do if this does occur.

What if I am not fit enough? It is not intended to be ‘exercise’, and your fitness level is unimportant. Most times, we sit down somewhere by the ocean for the entire session:)

Benefits of sessions in nature:

  • Our clients find that being in nature naturally shifts their emotions and leaves them feeling calmer and more relaxed. 

  • It seems less clinical and can initiate a more relaxed environment to open up about one’s feelings.

  • Many feel safer in the company of their pet, so if this applies to you, feel free to bring your pet along too.

All you need is the following:

  • Comfortable clothes and shoes

  • Water
